# Booth Math > Paste the stock list you plan to bring to a holiday craft fair - item, materials per piece, minutes to make one, price, how many - and enter the booth fee, other costs, selling hours, days, the hourly rate you want for your time and the card fee. See a floor price per item, the headroom each price has over it, the table laid out by price tier (impulse under $15, core $15-49, anchor $50 and up) as a side view of the booth's risers, and three gauges for the share of your stock that must sell to cover the booth, the booth plus your days at the fair, and that plus your making time. A metered check gives every item a status, quote, reason, whole-dollar price and fix, up to three bundles, signs for the table, next steps and a ready / reprice / rethink verdict. https://booth-math.skillsafe.ai/ ## What it does - Free, in the browser (boothkit.js, display.js): reads one item a line ("Stoneware mug | 7.00 | 50 min | $28 | 24"), a tab- or comma-separated spreadsheet paste, or a paste with a header row naming the columns. Time takes minutes or hours ("2 h", "1h 20m"). - Floor = (materials + minutes x your hourly rate) / (1 - card fee). Status: healthy (30% or more of the price above the floor), thin (above the floor, under 30%), underwater (under the floor - every sale loses money on your time). Target = the whole-dollar price with 30% headroom. - Gauges: the share of the pieces you bring that must sell, if sales spread like your stock, to cover (1) the booth fee and other costs, (2) that plus your selling hours x days at your rate, (3) that plus your making time. Bands: up to 35% easy, to 60% a stretch, past 60% a long shot; "never" when no amount of selling covers it. - Flags: underwater and thin prices, nothing under $15, no showpiece at $50 or more, a lopsided tier mix, gauges past 35% or 60%, and every default it assumed. Its own verdict: ready, reprice or rethink. - Metered, one task `check`: per item a status (judged at the current price, never better than the page's), an exact quote, a reason, a suggested whole-dollar price (never under the floor for a thin or underwater item) and one fix; 0-3 bundles built only from listed items and priced at or above their pieces' floors; 2-4 table signs whose every dollar amount is a suggested price; 3-5 next steps; caveats. - The page holds the reply to its arithmetic: a status is never shown better than the numbers, every quote must appear in the list as written, no suggested price may sit under its floor, bundles must name listed items and clear their floors, and every price on a sign must be one the reply gave. ## Limits - Every number comes from what was entered. The 30% headroom, the tier cut-offs, the gauge bands and the blank-field defaults ($15 an hour, 3% card fee, one day) are rules of thumb and estimates, not data about any fair or a sales forecast. - Exports: Markdown (gauges, item table, the check) and a CSV price list. ## Sources - Built on the SkillSafe skill @coreyhaines31/pricing-strategy: https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@coreyhaines31/pricing-strategy - Why now: holiday craft fairs run from late November into December; one Pittsburgh holiday market lists 2026 booth fees of $200-$950, up 14-31% on 2025: https://www.handmadearcade.org/holiday-market-applications - API: https://booth-math.skillsafe.ai/api.html
